Bio

Richard Calcagno is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and a third generation haircutter with 25 years of experience.  He began his career in Los Angeles with an apprenticeship at Victor Sabino Salon where they taught Vidal Sassoon hair cutting technique as well as Wella hair color.  As part of this apprenticeship Richard worked with the Victor Sabino owned Oggi International product line and participated with the design team at hair shows.  Three years later he began work with the prestigious and nationally recognized diPietro Todd Salon in downtown San Francisco where he had a presence for twenty years.  At the diPietro Todd Salon he assisted the owners Andrew Todd and John diPietro and he perfected the precision hair cutting technique of Vidal Sasson.  In the year 2000, Richard moved to Sun Valley, Idaho where he launched R|C Salon in the fall of 2010.
